Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Please read these terms carefully. They explain your rights and responsibilities when you use KolatBooks, and ours.
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Startup Bodyshop (“we”, “us”, “our”), which operates KolatBooks. They apply to the KolatBooks website, web app and mobile app (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use KolatBooks on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that business, and “you” includes the business.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information when you register.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account and on the accounts of team members you invite.
- The business owner controls the business account, including which team members have access and what they can do.
- Tell us promptly if you think your account has been used without permission.
3. Plans, trials and payment
- KolatBooks offers a free plan and paid plans. Current plans, features and prices are shown on our pricing page.
- Paid plans include a 7-day free trial. If you do not pay for a plan by the end of the trial, your account moves to the free plan and your records are kept.
- Paid plans are billed in advance for the period shown when you pay. Payment is made by mobile money through our payment provider, Monime, or by another method we agree with you. A subscription is active once payment is confirmed.
- If a paid period ends without renewal, your account moves to the free plan. Features outside the free plan become unavailable, but your existing records are not deleted.
- Prices are in Sierra Leonean Leones unless stated otherwise. We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes apply from your next paid period.
- Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or where we decide otherwise in a particular case. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us.
4. Your business data
You keep ownership of the records and files you add to KolatBooks. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to provide and improve the Service for you.
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy of the records you enter.
- Having the right to record and use information about your customers, suppliers, team members and leads, and for how you contact them.
- Anything you choose to publish, such as a landing page or a shared invoice link.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive.
- Publish content that is misleading, infringes others’ rights, or is harmful or offensive.
- Try to access another business’s data or any part of the Service you are not authorised to use.
- Interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service, or probe it for vulnerabilities without our permission.
- Copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.
6. Reports and Scaling Blueprint are not professional advice
KolatBooks produces reports, accounting summaries, diagnostic scores and action plans from the information you enter. These are tools to help you understand your business. They are not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and they are only as accurate as the records behind them. Please consult a qualified professional before making important financial, tax or legal decisions.
7. Availability and offline use
We work to keep KolatBooks available and reliable, but we do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features over time. Changes made while offline are saved on your device and sync when you reconnect; if a device is lost, reset or signed out before it syncs, those unsynced changes may be lost.
8. Our intellectual property
KolatBooks, its software, design, logo and content belong to Startup Bodyshop or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business while your account is in good standing. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
9. Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using KolatBooks at any time. You can delete your account from within the app, or ask us to close it through our contact page. When an owner deletes a business account, its records are permanently erased after 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the Service or other users at risk, or where we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem or export your records.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms.
To the extent the law allows, Startup Bodyshop is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sierra Leone. If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it with you informally. If that is not possible, the courts of Sierra Leone will have jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will let you know in the app or by message before they take effect. Continuing to use KolatBooks after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
